This colourful Acrylic Painting,inspired by many visits to Killarney Provincial park, and several lakes in northern Ontario, is the sixth in my series entitled 'True North'. It's an original view of a typical Northern Landscape from Ontario, Canada.Many of the paintings in my True North Series have been inspired by my experiences in places like Muskoka, Haliburton, Algonquin Park, Lake Superior, and Killarney Provincial Park. I've used bold colours to celebrate the landscape, and show the joy I feel when surrounded by nature. Similar tree and rock formations have been painted and photographed by thousands of artists for over 100 years. These are my original renditions of such landscapes. The inukshuk is used to symbolize that someone has come to this place, and wanted to leave a mark of recognition that others have come before. The original piece was done on a 12x12 inch canvas.
